In September 2007, the local daily newspaper La Presse selected Collège international Marie de France’s cafeteria as one of the best in Quebec. The cafeteria staff has implemented “healthy-choice” menus in accordance with the nutritional policies adopted by the Montreal school board in the summer of 2004. A delicious array of vegetarian dishes are offered throughout the school year and other menus are planned according to the availablity of certain seasonal ingredients.
Savoir-Faire
Our salad bar is increasingly popular among staff and students thanks to its vast selection. Salades, vegetable tabouli, tuna salad à l’orange, shrimp, and cumin-seasoned vegetables are only a few of the dishes students find offered on the salad bar.
All meals are prepared on site by our master chef, Joël Orlando, and his assistant chef, Catherine Beaugez. With the help of Marie-France Loubier, CiMF’s cafeteria manager and several other employees, more than 550 meals are served every day.
Cooking is one thing but knowing how to work with a young audience is another. The entire cafeteria staff at the Collège international Marie de France always strives to provide a high-level of quality service in a friendly and professional atmosphere. All staff members take great pride in their work and always put the well-being of the school community first.
