Parent delegates and volunteering

How heart-warming to hear children telling their parents: “Mom/Dad, I saw you at school today. What event are you voluntering for?”

What could be more more valuable to the CiMF school community than the time parents spend volunteering throughout the year? Although individual committements make volunteering sometimes difficult, nothing is more gratifying than devoting a portion of one’s time in order for students to reach their full potential.

Many of our parents give some of their time, their know-how, and their energy to make CiMF a continued success. It is by no means necessary to be a member of the APE committee to contribute at Marie de France. Each parent is able to make a difference according to his or her availability and area of interest. Volunteering helps the student body to succeed throughout the year and encourages others to get involved. Our school’s success depends on it.

Volunteering in your child’s school means, first and foremost, learning to give yourself without necessarily getting anything in return and getting involved to make a difference. Through this, mere exchanges with others often lead to friendships, making the effort even more worth the while. Getting involved brings more personal satisfaction than one could ever possibly imagine....
