Work at CiMF

In order to teach at the Collège international Marie de France you must:

Be a tenured civil servant with the French Ministry of Education and be on leave-of-absence

or

Hold a valid teaching license issued by the Quebec Ministry of Education

Your credentials must include a copy of your teaching license. Please include your license number and the date of issue. Applicants who do not follow application procedures will not be considered for employment.

If all requirements are met, your CV will be kept on file for the current school year and you will be contacted if a position becomes available. Knowledge of the French curriculum is a key consideration during the hiring process.

Conditions of employment for tenured staff and faculty with the French Ministry of Education

If you are a tenured civil servant with the French Ministry of Education, you may be able to apply for a resident position. Positions are normally published in early January on the website of the French consulate in Quebec (http://consulfrance-quebec.org). Applications and instructions are on the consulate’s website. This is the only application procedure that will be followed. There is therefore no need to send your application directly to CiMF.

Applications will be examined in March by a local advisory committee and the headmaster.

We appreciate your interest in CiMF and we encourage you to read the secton entitled “Frequently Asked Questions” before contacting us. It is updated regularly.

You may forward your CV to:

emploi@mariedefrance.qc.ca or by fax at (514) 737-0789

You must indicate the title of the position for which you are applying. We do not acknowledge receipt of applications and we request that you refrain from contacting the Human Resources office unnecessarily.
